I was one of the volunteers this weekend taking care of evacuated
animals at the fairgrounds. I think that some heartfelt thanks are in
order.
To Quality Supply and PetSmart for their generous donations of hay
for the horses and goats, dog food, cat food, litter, bowls and cages
for the large dogs.
To the wonderful people of Missoula Animal Control and the Humane
Society of Western Montana for setting up the whole operation and
gather volunteers.
To the people from California and Canada, who came with Noah's Wish,
an organization that helps with animals caught in disasters. They
came at their own expense and brought a travel trailer full of
emergency supplies.
Remember these three organizations when you are making your
charitable donations. Animal Control takes donations through "Friends
of the Animal Control Shelter."
Finally, to the fairgrounds that opened its facilities to animal and
human alike.

on the mission of the organization, positive news coverage will
